Media Designer – Illustrator – Operator of the Unknown
Chris Sands is a Vermont-based illustrator, media designer, and creative technologist with a deep curiosity for the strange, the uncanny, and the unexplained. With more than two decades of experience in the creative industry, Chris has developed an artistic style rooted in storytelling—one that bridges vintage pulp, speculative sci-fi, and modern myth.
He earned his B.F.A. in Motion Graphics from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), and later pursued a Certificate in Website Development from the Community College of Vermont. This dual background—art and tech—has shaped a uniquely versatile practice. Over the years, his projects have ranged from illustrated maps and multimedia installations to interactive websites and digital storytelling tools.
Chris currently serves as Operations Assistant at Glow Natural Wellness, where he helps manage systems behind the scenes. But more than that, he’s become a key force in developing cutting-edge automation workflows—leveraging AI tools to create, streamline, and scale everything from design pipelines to content production systems. He blends creative intuition with technical logic, always searching for elegant ways to make the invisible visible.
Unknown Unseen is a personal project and creative sandbox—where folklore, memory, and machine learning meet. Here, Chris explores the edges of belief through writing, AI-assisted illustration, and cinematic design. From cryptids to consciousness, his work invites readers to look again… because sometimes the most interesting things are hiding in plain sight.
